Position Title: Plumber
Department: Campus Services
Reports Directly To: Facilities Manager

Status: Non- Exempt
Salary: $DOE

Summary of Duties:

  1.  Maintains sewer mains
  2. .Performs repairs to plumbing fixtures and pipes.
  3. Install plumbing fixtures such as showers, lavatories, toilets, hot water heaters, waste traps and faucets
  4. Install and repair water piping, and DWV piping
  5. Maintain and Repair boilers and Water Heaters
  6. Knowledge of plumbing equipment
  7. Other duties as assigned

Independence of Action:

Frequently makes decisions of average difficulty regarding plumbing repairs.

Supervision Exercised:

Supervision when needed

Working Conditions:

Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch.  Will need to work additional hours as needed as the need arises.   Will need to occasionally travel to attend workshops and/ or trainings.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires standing for extended periods, lifting, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching and crawling in the performance of duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of a recognized apprenticeship license with 3 years’ experience.  Knowledge of plumbing computer software.
Other requirements:  Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle record. Able to operate equipment helpful: Bobcat, forklift, pay loader and any applicable equipment as needed.
